It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Sorry for the lack of updates, it is very shameful. However, there is really nothing to update about. If someone can come up with a few ideas for this group, don't hesitate to send it over!

One thing I will say is this;

Please Send Your Art To The Correct Folders!

It can be a long process to organize where the correct art goes once I get behind. The folders are there for a reason. If you'd like a new folder added, Please Let Me Know!

Sorry, I should just make a list of new rules, (since the old ones are related to before the group was a part of DA's updated group system).

Short of it is, you can submit as much as you like as long as it relates to Ghost in the Shell, that includes inspirations and original characters. We don't have rules for content since the series was for 13+ viewers anyway. Lastly, please just submit work to the correct folders and if you would like a new folder, don't hesitate to ask

Like any other group, we like to see others getting along and don't allow spamming in this group.

Some parts of the group, such as updated rules and folders, needs to be updated, I just have not had the chance to sit down and do it :/

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask

Okay, here's one more submission question: I want to submit to the correct folders, but the only one it's possible to submit to is "featured." I can't select the folder to upload to after clicking the submission button, either from the home or gallery tabs. Can't submit within any gallery while viewing it except for "Featured" either. It's the only one with a "+" in its title bar when viewed by a member account.

So, there's some kind of webpage SNAFU, it would seem.

I really didn't know that there was a problem submitting to all the folders, nobody else has said this to me. I probably hit the wrong submission rule where only admins can place artwork anywhere.
I'll try and change it ASAP and if it still doesn't work, just report it back that it doesnt.
If the changes end up not working at all, then there is some sort of SNAFU, (I'm not too tech savvy).

I have an idea for the group to participate in. (:

We could print out the Laughing Man logo or the GITS logo and post them around public areas. TEE HEE. I dunno if that would break laws in some places, but I've seen stuff like this done in my university campus.

There probably is some sort of law against it, but you can probably pin little laughing man stickers to news bulletin boards if nobody was around. I mean, most things are 'if you don't get caught, you didn't do it'...
